ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
Bellcomb products are fundamentally resource efficient in both their production and use. This was one of the primary reasons Bellcomb got in the business in the first place in 1989, long before being "green" was considered a corporate responsibility. Bellcomb's products use less raw material in their manufacture to attain desired performance characteristics, and consume fewer natural resources in use due to their inherent lightweight properties.
Bellcomb is the first composite panels manufacture to join Carbonfund.org's
CarbonFree(TM) program. By doing this, Bellcomb is demonstrating how mid-sized
manufacturers can minimize their carbon footprint. Bellcomb's annual footprint
is 974 tons of carbon dioxide, which, when offset, is equal to taking 180
passenger cars off the road for a year.
As a company we also make good environmental decisions for non-economic reasons. Our company-wide energy usage policies encourage conservation and resource stewardship. Continually upgrading to more efficient equipment and fixtures in our facilities is an expense we gladly incur, despite the impact it might have on our bottom line.
While our commitment is significant and our history of being environmentally conscientious is a founding philosophy at Bellcomb, we acknowledge that we haven't done enough, that there's always room for continuous improvement. We are committed to continuing to evaluate the environmental impact of the choices we make every day in running our business.
