PANEL AND PANEL SYSTEM SIZES

Individual panel sizes are often dictated by the sizes of available raw materials. For example, common sizes for skin materials are 4' x 8', 4' x 12', 5' x 8', 5' x 10', etc. At Bellcomb, we work with panels of all sizes every day. We have extensive experience and expertise in joining multiple panels together to produce much larger panel assembles. For smaller panels, we can yield multiple pieces from a larger panel based on optimum material utilization.

Since the structural properties of sandwich panels increase dramatically with increased thickness, there are limited advantages to very thin panels. However, by utilizing ultra thin facing materials with appropriate core materials, we can produce surprising results in panels as thin as 0.125". On the other end of the spectrum, we routinely produce products with core thicknesses up to 4".
